Native Plant Week Events – April 16-23, 2011

cnpw logoIn celebration of Native Plant Week, we at Tree of Life Nursery are ambitiously setting out to have at least one event a day and on some days two events.  It’s going to be a great week to come out to the nursery to enjoy all of these FREE events and to get familiar with California Native Plants!

Weekend Activities: Saturday April 16th and Saturday April 23

Our kick-off will be on Saturday April 16, at 9 AM with the Grand Opening of our newly planted Butterfly Garden here at the nursery as well as a Butterfly Gardening talk by expert Bob Allen.  Our Grand Finale on Saturday April 23, will be a “Native Cultures” event that is sure to be crowd pleasing.  The event will be focused on the contemporary use of Native American foods implemented in our life style today – cooking demos and tastings using California native plants.

Weekday Events: Monday-Friday April 18-22

Monday and Tuesday, April 18 and 19 we are hosting “Wildflower Walks on the Richard and Donna O’Neill Land Conservancy (sign up required) at 8:30 AM.  Wednesday-Friday at 10 AM, join us for a “Coffee Break with Native Plants”.  Noon luncheon events will be held Monday through Thursday.  Monday and Wednesday come enjoy “Luncheon with a Designer” and Tuesday and Thursday we present “Iron Designer”  – where you can learn from two designers’ discussion!
