Designers in Residence (DIR) – Pre-Booked half-hour design consultation with professional landscape designers specializing in native plants is continuing on Saturdays throughout March and April. New designer added! Steve Mudge, Steve Mudge Designs, Last Saturday in April.

Join us for a whole day of talks by field experts and lots of friendly help from the California Native Plant Society members.
Due to the prediction of very cold, wet weather conditions both chapters are postponing the event, and it will now be on MARCH 24.
Both the San Diego and Orange County Chapters of the CNPS invite you to come out the nursery to learn about native plants and to learn about their fabulous organization. All CNPS members will receive a free plant with purchase of plants all day long. JOIN CNPS that day! Additional free gifts will be available for individuals who join or renew a membership, and as always, a 10% discount on all plant purchases for all CNPS members.

Replace Your Lawn (RYL) Series! 9:30 am
The Replace Your Lawn (RYL) Series is a four-part lecture series about removing your lawn and replacing it with native plants. This Spring we will have two design talks given by two of the DIR designers we have been working with. All of the RYL workshops are FREE and no reservations are necessary.

March 31 – II: Design Elements: Efficiency and Sustainability Through Design

9:30-10:30a – Treescaping Workshop with Mike Evans
Come learn how to landscape in and around trees with native plants. Some tree pruning care and planning tips will be covered. Trees offer a different dynamic to any garden – shade, leaf litter… etc… come learn about shade-loving, water-sipping native plants. Talk is at 9:30. Join us!
