I was just hired at Smith & Reynolds back in 1983 and my first encounter with Tree of Life was when Mike Evans delivered Quercus agrifolia liners in a Toyota flatbed truck to our yard in Corona for a Caltrans project.
Our largest project with TOL was for the Caltrans Rt 52 Hollins Lake project in 1989-1990. Jeff & Mike proposed bare root Salix sp. in lieu of 15-gallon trees and Caltrans approved. The results were spectacular and we have always cherished their insight and thinking outside the box for the best result.
On another project in Carmel, they had the plants delivered in refrigerated vans so they would be viable upon delivery.
We could always count on TOL to provide exceptional plants!
Best to you all in your future endeavors!
