These workshops will be held SATURDAYS at 9:30 AM in January, starting the 19th.  This RYL series will include a very helpful Design Question and Answer session with the very relatable educator and designer, Pat Overby, and a design elements workshop by our Designer in Residence, Rob Moore.  You can also expect the usual high-quality information you’ll get from owners Jeff Bohn and Mike Evans.

The four parts are:

January 19 – RYL I: Creating and Caring for your Native Garden
January 26 – RYL II: Kill the Lawn!
February 2 – RYL III: Design Foundations – Design Q & A, How to get the most out of your Landscape
February 9 – RYL IV: Design Foundations – Get Started with the Basic Elements of Design

All of these workshops are FREE of charge and no reservations are necessary.   Each session lasts about an hour, (depending on questions!). Read More for more details…

Replace Your Lawn IV: Design Q and A with Pat Overby

If you’ve been to any of Pat Overby’s talks, then you know she is an excellent communicator who translates the overwhelming details of “DYI Design” into relatable, manageable and understandable action steps.  Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from Pat, bring your questions and learn not only the answer, but how to think about design concepts as a whole.  Pat Overby has a long history of designing with native plants and a clear understanding of how to communicate about design topics related to native plants.

February 9 – RYL IV: Design Foundations – Get Started with the Basic Elements of Design

Rob Moore will speak about the basic elements of design, how to prepare yourself for a garden design or re-design and some basic skills to get you started.  Speaking from years of design experience, Rob will give you tools for your project.
