10:45am – Re-wild your Patio, Potting with Patty.
Don’t have a lot of space or a big yard to fill with native plants? Never fear! Many of our beautiful native species work well in containers.
Cost of the workshop is $30. Feel free to bring your own pot (12” in diameter or larger is best), or purchase one of ours in Casa La Paz.
Plants sold separately.
No pre-registration required, but if you are interested, we kindly ask that you send us a message so we have an idea of how many people will be attending.
12:00 – 1:30pm Lunchtime Reading Circle
Bring a book or a few titles to share with the group. Do you have a complete shelf of nature literature? John Muir, Terry Tempest Williams, Barry Lopes, Craig Childs, Ed Abbey, Wallace Stegner, Wendell Berry, and many others! Come ready to share a quote, a paragraph, a poem, or a piece related to our relationship with our natural gardens.
Note: We will be discussing two books and their authors in detail. (You may want to read or reread them to prepare.)
1. A Sand County Almanac, and Sketches Here and There. Aldo Leopold. 1949
2. Wilding. Returning Nature to Our Farm. Isabella Tree. 2018.
