Calling All Photographers, it’s Contest Time!
Send us your inspiring images and have a chance at winning some awesome native plant themed prizes! We have two categories: “The Native Garden” and “Wildlife/Art in the Garden” (wildlife and/or bird baths, sculptures, creative bee condos). Of course, since we are all about California natives, gardens must be primarily California native species (a few non-natives is ok, we all stray sometimes!).
Photo Submittal
-Photos should be close to 2000 pixels wide and no more than 5 MB.
- Photos must be in JPEG file format.
– Files should be titled with your name, i.e., First_Last.JPEG.
– There are two categories to enter:
“The Native Garden” which includes partial and full native garden pictures (please include at least a few different native plants in the photo).
“Wildlife/Art in the Native Garden” which includes images primarily of the native garden with a
highlight of wildlife and/or art (birdbaths, creative bee condos, sculptures and other ‘yard
art’).
– Entrants may submit one photo per category for a total of two possible entries, one in each
category.
– Entrants will be contacted if there are any questions regarding submissions.
– Entrants may not work for nor be related to someone who works for Tree of Life Nursery.
– To enter the contest permission must be given for Tree of Life to put the photograph on the Tree of Life Nursery website and to be able to use the photos for promotional purposes with credit given to photographer.
– The deadline for submission is September 10, 2017.
Photo Selection
– Photos will be put before a panel of judges who will choose a first and second place winner in each category.
– There will be a “People’s Choice” award voted on by our customers and the general public.
– Entrants who are selected as winners will have their photographs printed and displayed at Tree of Life Nursery’s retail shop ‘Casa la Paz’ as well as posted on our website and sent out via email to Tree of Life Nursery subscribers.
Prizes
– First place winners in each category will receive a $250 gift certificate to Tree of Life Nursery valid for plants and merchandise in the ‘Casa la Paz’ retail store.
– Second place winners will receive a $100 gift certificate to Tree of Life Nursery valid for plants and merchandise in the ‘Casa la Paz’ retail store.
– People’s Choice award will be a ‘Casa la Paz’ gift basket with select items from our retail store.
– Prizes will be awarded at the ’Casa la Paz’ retail store September 30th, 2017 where the winning photographs will be on display.
